Brugge in Belgium -- delightful and historic © 2006

Towering churches mark the town of Brugge in Belgium.  It claims to be the oldest medieval town in Europe.  Anything newer than 1700 is not considered old!!
Bier (beer) is a product of Belgium -- they believe in a different glass for each type -- there are over 600 varieties!! Pastoral scene with canal and beginage -- beginage is a walled compound for women who want a religious life but do not want to become nuns. Food is superb -- here a rack of ribs for one at our good-bye dinner in Brugge.
